Kylie Jenner and Tyga are keeping very silent about their friendship but, as they say, a picture speaks a thousand words and it’s clear they have developed a close bond as they were seen leaving yet another restaurant together last night after enjoying dinner, however, the reality star seemed keen to go undercover and appeared to be hiding behind her bodyguard.
The pair stepped out for an early dinner at the Crustacean restaurant in Beverly Hills on Tuesday where it appears they enjoyed some alone time with only their security seen leaving with them. Despite the trendy eatery, Kylie rocked an edgy, casual look, wearing an over-sized black t-shirt, while Rack City rapper Tyga also looked pretty laid-back in a jumper, jeans, trainers and a cap.
Perhaps to avoid getting snapped together, Kylie, 17, and Tyga, 24, left the restaurant separately but it’s clear they had dined together, with the rapper leading the way first and Kylie following after, although she tried not to draw attention to herself, covering her mouth with her hands and using her bodyguard as a shield before getting into the rapper’s car.
While speculation is rife that the pair are secretly dating, a source has told HollywoodLife that the pair are simply enjoying “casual friend dates” and that Kylie’s mother Kris Jenner has no problem with her youngest child hanging out with the rapper as she is “comfortable” with her having adult friends as she turns 18 next year. The insider also claims that Kris, 58, is fond of Tyga, real name, Michael, and is not concerned with them spending time together as he is “sweet, innocent and strikingly handsome.”
Many have criticised Kylie, who was just named one of the most inspirational teens by Time magazine, and Tyga’s friendship due to the age gap, but another source has revealed to the publication that there’s nothing romantic going on between them and he is simply helping the youngster to launch her music career. Tyga reportedly believes he can make a star out of Kylie and has even gotten his friend and her brother-in-law Kanye West to jump on board and give her advice, although he’s said to be waiting until next year when she turns the big 1-8 to propel her into a pop star.
It seems more likely that Tyga really is helping Kylie with her music!
