Chibok Girls: Nigeria Negotiates With Boko Haram In Saudi Arabia

The Nigerian government is reportedly involved in talks with representatives of terrorist sect, Boko Haram to broker the release of the over 200 abducted Chibok girls and also to negotiate a cease-fire.

Voice of America reports that confirmation of the negotiations, which are said to be holding in Saudi Arabia, was given by an adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan and the self-acclaimed Secretary-General of Boko Haram.

A member of the sect, identified as Danladi Ahmadu reportedly said the girls are “in good condition and unharmed”

The 6-month anniversary of the Chibok girls’ abduction sparked  protests by the #BringBackOurGirls group in Abuja and by singer, Alicia Keys and others in New York.

The over 200 girls were kidnapped from the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno state on April 14.
