Reports reaching Naij.com have it that the Central
Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has extended the deadline for the ongoing
registration for the Bank Verification Number (BVN).
According to an official document issued by the CBN, the registration has been extended to October 31, 2015.

Earlier today, had gone to various banks to see how people were reacting to threats that the registration exercise would close today and there was a long queue as bank account holders stormed various banks across the country to get their registration done.
The BVN registration had been on for over a year now, but many Nigerians did not take it seriously until it was clear that the end of the registration exercise was quite near.
