Nollywood Actor, RMD Seeks Special Tribunal On Piracy

Nollywood star and commissioner of culture and tourism Richard Mofe Damijo, has called for the establishment of a special tribunal to handle cases of piracy in the film industry, reports Vanguard.

He said this during an interview during the premiere of the film Oloibiri at Silverbird Cinemas, Abuja.

He said that the tribunal, would be responsible to punish the pirates or compensate film makers for any pirated work.

He said that the body of the law guiding piracy in the country is okay but expressed reservation on the manner of the policing.

RMD said that all creative works of Nollywood should be protected because it is how the industry will grow.
