Many of his fellow NBA stars as well as a host of other celebrities have take to social media with well wishes for two-time champion Lamar Odom, but most eyes have been on the his in-laws, the Kardashians. As he continues to make progress after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel, his estranged wife Khloe and her reality star clan have all come together in support of the former Los Angeles Laker.
The latest of the family to share an encouraging message for Odom was Kim Kardashian, who took to Instagram with a photo of herself and Odom, revealing in the caption that Odom smiled in the hospital:
On Friday (Oct. 16), Odom had awoken and was reportedly taken off of his breathing tube. He was also able to communicate, according to USA Today Sports. While the cause of his collapse has not been officially confirmed, the athlete allegedly consumed a number of drugs, and doctors are still running tests. The Los Angeles Times reports that Odom has also been able to text. Former Clippers teammates Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul also made their way to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas to visit Odom.
“He probably has no idea we were there, but just to be there and to see him — hopefully he knows there’s a lot of guys that love him and want to see him do better and want to see him get better,” Griffin said.
Odom’s condition if expected to continue to improve.
