Political Parties, Presidential Candidates Plan To Boycott Elections

Political Parties, Presidential Candidates Plan To Boycott Elections

These election schemes from political parties are starting to really piss me off sef. Just today, 15 political parties and five presidential candidates from some of those parties issued statements saying they will boycott the general elections scheduled for March 28 and April 11 if INEC plans to go ahead with the use of card readers.

The parties said in the statement that they disagree with the use card readers in the coming elections. They also mentioned that the election has lost its credibility already and any further attempt to worsen the credibility would not be accepted.

A spokesperson said in the statement that:

“If the card reader should develop some technical problems, there is a possibility that the consequences of such development would affect about 40 (forty) or 50 (fifty) per cent of the polling booths nationwide”
