Bruce called a family gathering and broke the news to Kim and Khloe, Kendall and Kylie inside Kourtney's plush living room in Calabasas, California.
E! cameras were there to capture the moment that will be shown in an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Us Weekly reported that Bruce, 65, was 'very matter-of-fact' when broaching the subject that everyone's been talking about for the past several weeks.
'He literally started the conversation with, "Hey, guys, I'm becoming a woman, but I'm sure you probably already figured that out,' a source told the magazine.
Bruce's behavior had his stepdaughters Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and biological daughters Kendall and Kylie concerned after the reality show patriarch was pictured on January 14 looking upset in the car.
He had taken to wearing nail polish and was growing out his hair, and in January of last year the father-of-six underwent a procedure to flatten his Adam's apple.
