(Reuters) – A Malaysian airplane failed to enter Russian airspace when expected on Thursday and was found burning on the ground in eastern Ukraine, an aviation source told Reuters.
Malaysia Airlines Twitter feed says last known position of aircraft was over Ukrainian airspace. Malaysian plane was brought down by a ground-to-air missile: Interior Ministry adviser, quoted by Interfax.
Recall that a Malaysian airline disappeared earlier this year carrying almost the same number of passengers and until date the flight has not been found.
