Rihanna's "Work" is her first number one on the Hot 100 since 2012's "Diamonds," and it seems it won't be leaving the top spot without a fight. The single will be spending its 8th consecutive week atop the charts, tying Rih for the record for second-most total weeks at number one, trailing only Mariah Carey (79 weeks to Rihanna's 59).
As a personal record, the song is also Rihanna's the second-longest running single at #1, surpassing "Umbrella" and "Love The Way You Lie" this week. "We Found Love" made it to 10 weeks atop the charts, can "Work " do the same?
In other big chart news, Desiigner's "Panda" has raced to number 5 on the charts (up from 14). Rap #1s are few and far between.
