Covenant University Bans Students From Watching The 2014 World Cup Holding In Brazil The Administration believes Brazillian girls, Cristiano Ronaldo and Mario Balotelli are bad influence to their God-fearing girls. SMH! TheCovenant Universityin Nigeria passed a directive to all students ahead of the Brazil 2014 World Cup which kicked off June 12; thatno student must watch ANY of the matches of the popular world football tournament. According to the school’s management, Brazil is a country known forimmoralitiesand the stadia will be full ofindecentlydressedgirls and women who will corrupt the morals of the God-fearing students in the school. Dean of Students explained that,”In addition to the this sanctions, as long as stubborn players likeCristiano RonaldoandMario Balotelliwill play in the mundial, the girls inCovenant Universityare not safe”. He added that, “RonaldoandBalotelliare in the habit of pulling off their shirts after scoring every goal to show off their six-packs. Therefore, this might give these girlswet dreamswhich will make them fall spiritually”. As for why even boys are banned from the games, theDeansaid the half-clad and half-mad women who are known to patronize the streets of Brazil could be of bad influence to his male students. As a result theCovenant University authoritieswill dish out external suspension to anyone caught watching the World Cup 2014 for two months.
