Arsenal FC’s young Nigerian star, Alex Iwobi has reportedly suffered from food poisoning and has been rushed to an Abuja Hospital where he is recuperating. The food poisoning came after the player ate with the rest of the Nigerian team.
His father has since visited him in hospital according to MTNfootball. The news was confirmed by Nigeria head coach Samson Siasia. ‘He suffered from food positioning and so was not part of training. His condition is stable.’ he said
Iwobi was in line to start Nigeria’s African Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt on Friday night but that now looks unlikely.
